About the Band

AoxomoxoA is made up of a seasoned collection of local front range musicians, all with a passion for the music of the Grateful Dead. We play music from the Grateful Dead universe, and add our unique jamming style to keep the bus rollin! ​About Dave Dardine

The Dave Dardine Project is an electric blues trio that plays an anthology of genre-bending blues with influences from coast to coast, north to south, all with a Rocky Mountain high… 

A fixture on the Colorado music scene since arriving from the East Coast in 1988, Dave has become known for his unique style of guitar playing and vocals that stand out in the often homogenized world of blues rock.

Influenced by such diverse masters of guitar as the three Kings, Jerry Garcia and Duane Allman, Dave’s style of lead guitar is more governed by musicality, exploration, improvisation and complex emotion than seeing how many notes can be crammed into a measure. In fact, his often “less is more” approach has become his signature.

The Dave Dardine Project engages audiences with their original interpretations of traditional to contemporary blues. Drummer Mike Kwiatek and bassist Mark Williams hold down the groove, allowing Dave the space to explore deep into the depths of his guitar. This is blues as it’s meant to be: gritty and groovy.

​I first picked up a guitar to play a song for my wife on our anniversary. That’s when I discovered the joy of connecting with people through music. My sound is rock with a positive vibe, and my biggest influences are John Mayer, Tom Petty, and Jason Mraz. My music starts from a place of poetry and creative inspiration, and I use my “rocket-scientist brain” to find structures that help me explore that initial burst of inspiration and feeling – like writing haiku’s, my favorite!
